En 1961\, la scène musicale new-yorkaise bouillonne\, à l’image d’une société en quête de sens et de nouveaux repères. Bob Dylan\, âgé de seulement 19 ans\, quitte le Minnesota pour s’installer à New York\, armé de sa guitare et d’un talent exceptionnel. Au fil de son ascension\, il tisse des liens personnels au sein de la scène folk\, s’imposant progressivement comme le chroniqueur informel des troubles sociaux qui secouent les États-Unis. Sa musique et ses paroles résonnent comme l’écho d’une jeunesse en perte de repères\, en proie à un mal-être existentiel et en rupture avec une société conformiste. Portée par des artistes tels que Bob Dylan\, Joan Baez\, Patti Smith\, Neil Young\, Janis Joplin\, Jimi Hendrix et Leonard Cohen…  la musique devient le miroir des luttes sociales\, du combat pour les droits civiques et du rejet de la guerre du Vietnam. Son terrain de chasse ? L’amour\, l’amitié\, les relations sociales\, comment on s’aime\, comment on se sépare\, dans son nouveau spectacle\, “La nuit je mens”\, l’humoriste décortique nos lâchetés ordinaires. Armée d’une plume aiguisée\, elle capte les vibrations et turbulences de notre époque sans oublier de se moquer d’elle-même. Pendant un peu plus d’une heure\, l’ancienne chroniqueuse de France-Inter communique au public son plaisir évident d’être de retour sur scène. On retrouve le ton et le sens des punchlines qui ont fait son succès à la radio\, et on se demande\, entre deux rires\, ce qui est vrai là-dedans. Mais peu importe finalement. Peut-être que tout était faux depuis le départ\, et que Morgane Cadignan n’est même pas une menteuse\, mais plutôt une habile conteuse.
